Inventory Control Officer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Officer to join their operations in Welkom . This role is fundamental to maintaining accurate inventory levels, minimizing stock discrepancies, and ensuring the availability of products for distribution. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory management procedures, conducting regular audits, and utilizing inventory management systems to track stock movements and identify trends, contributing to the overall efficiency and profitability of the company.

• Maintain accurate records of all inventory received, stored, and dispatched.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Manage stock rotation to minimize obsolescence and ensure product freshness.
• Utilize inventory management software to track stock levels, forecast demand, and optimize stock positioning.

• Experience in inventory control , stock management, or a related warehousing role.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to conduct physical counts accurately and efficiently.
• Understanding of warehouse operations and best practices for inventory management.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to report findings clearly.
