Inventory Control Specialist

Our client is seeking an organized and analytical Inventory Control Specialist to join their operations team in Bloemfontein. This hybrid role is critical for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of inventory data across all storage facilities. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory management procedures, conducting regular audits, and resolving discrepancies to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize losses.

The successful candidate will be adept at using inventory management systems and possess a keen eye for detail, contributing to the efficiency of logistics in the Free State province.

• Implement and maintain effective inventory control procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy of records.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Monitor stock levels, identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory, and provide reports for management.
• Work with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure proper storage, handling, and tracking of all inventory.
• Operate and maintain inventory management software, ensuring data integrity.

• Proven experience of at least 2 years in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related field.
• Proficiency with inventory management systems (IMS) and ERP software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to perform physical counts and work effectively within a warehouse environment.
