Warehouse Associate - Shipping & Receiving

Our client, a well-established distribution center, is looking for diligent and energetic Warehouse Associates to join their Shipping & Receiving team in Bloemfontein, Free State . This role is fundamental to the efficient operation of the warehouse, involving the handling of incoming and outgoing goods. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

You will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, storing, and dispatching a variety of products. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity within the logistics sector for individuals eager to contribute to a busy operational hub in Bloemfontein .

• Receive incoming shipments, verify quantities against purchase orders, and inspect for damage.
• Accurately record received goods into the inventory system.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to company procedures.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring goods are handled with care.
• Maintain an organized and clean work area, adhering to safety standards.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified).
• Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
• Identify and report any discrepancies or damages to the supervisor.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.

• Previous experience in a warehouse or similar manual handling role is advantageous.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 25kg repetitively.
• Basic understanding of inventory management and warehouse operations.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours if required.
