Nursing Staff Scheduler

This is a Monday-Friday, 40 hour position

Starting at $20/hr

Summary:

This position ensures and manages the Nursing scheduling through the use of the scheduling software system. This position will call employees to fill vacancies, leaves, and vacations in order to keep staffing levels within budgetary requirements..

Responsibilities:

• Process requested days off for vacation and leaves.

• Maintains appropriate staffing levels on all shifts to ensure quality patient/resident care based on census.

• Follows directives regarding monitoring and reduction of O.T.

• Completes and maintains nursing staffing schedules for all units following staffing/ scheduling policies.

• Corrects/audits staffing schedules on a weekly basis, responsible for nursing replacements.

• Maintain attendance records and initiates disciplinary action as it relates to attendance violations.

• Arranges for substitute/per diem staff or pool staff when scheduled staff cannot work assigned shifts.

• Communicates with staffing agencies when utilizing pool staff and coordinates agency staff orientation.

• Processes all agency invoices and submits to corporate Accounts Payable Coordinator in a timely fashion.

• Print out and process daily punch edits and discrepancy forms

Qualifications:

• Must have experience with computerized scheduling systems.

• Must have working knowledge (experience preferred) with various software programs such as WORD, OUTLOOK and EXCEL.

• Must be able to manage multiple projects and work with all disciplines in a challenging multi-cultural environment.

• Must be highly organized, energetic, and motivated.

• Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.

• Must be able to speak and write the English language.
