Controller Position Overview

Our well-known global client is seeking a Controller to add to the team. The Controller is a key financial leader responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role manages the daily accounting functions, strengthens internal controls, oversees cost accounting and inventory processes, and provides financial visibility that drives operational performance and profitability.

• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support executive leadership and operational teams.
• Manage external audits and coordinate with auditors as needed.

• Lead all cost accounting functions, including standard cost updates, variance analysis, and margin reporting.
• Partner with operations to improve cost accuracy, production reporting, and inventory procedures.
• Analyze manufacturing inefficiencies and cost drivers to support pricing and production decisions.

• Enhance and maintain internal controls over financial transactions and reporting.
• Implement streamlined processes, automation, and best practices to strengthen accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of growth, accountability, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate closely with supply chain, production, and engineering teams to support business planning and operational initiatives.
• Act as a strategic advisor to management, translating financial insights into actionable recommendations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and manufacturing workflows.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, or similar).
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and leadership capabilities.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and communicate effectively across departments.
