Ophthalmic Technician – Part Time – Sign on Bonus

Join our growing ophthalmology team as a part‑time Ophthalmic Technician in our Bloomfield practice location. Our established multi‑specialty ophthalmology group is seeking a skilled professional to join our friendly and dedicated team. Your Impact
  • Elevate patient care: work closely with ophthalmologists to gather comprehensive patient information for accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
  • Master ophthalmic testing: conduct visual acuity, pupillary responses, and other preliminary examinations.
  • Perform advanced diagnostics: administer OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.
  • Assist in surgical procedures: support ophthalmologists during minor surgeries, laser procedures, and corneal cross‑linking.
  • Streamline patient flow: manage clinic and imaging rooms, collaborating with clinical staff.
  • Administer eye drops (Certification Required).
  • Contribute to clinic efficiency: perform clinical and administrative tasks to maintain a smooth workflow.
What You’ll Bring / Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
  • Proven experience as an Ophthalmic Technician.
  • Knowledge of medical office procedures.
  • Ability to perform indirect activities, administrative tasks, and any other duties that support high‑quality practice performance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Bonus Points
  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification.

Hours: up to 29 hours per week – Part Time
