Registered Nurse DSD

MWF – Part‑Time. 2 days a week. No on call. Training Provided.

DaVita Kidney Care is expanding to skilled nursing facilities (SNF) through a new team called DaVita Skilled Nursing Dialysis Services. About 10% of dialysis patients live in an SNF and are transported to dialysis three times a week, creating significant burden and cost. DSD teammates will have access to DaVita’s full range of resources to build an infrastructure and grow this new service line.

• Take responsibility for the complete ongoing care of each patient to ensure dialysis stays on track.
• Make sound decisions for dialysis treatment and occasionally partner with SNF staff to coordinate care.
• Provide patient education as an RN educator.
• Deliver optimal dialysis care as an independent RN, demonstrating best practice techniques.
• Supervise Dialysis Technicians performing tandem care to meet capacity and efficiency goals.
• Handle multitasking and complex care while maintaining clinical outcomes.
• Use critical thinking and nursing skills to assess, diagnose, and implement care plans.

• Training includes a combination of classroom and hands‑on learning through DaVita’s award‑winning training programs.
• Training may occur in a facility or training clinic alongside other new teammates.
• Hours may vary during training; typically 32‑40 hours/week.
• May be asked to support other local SNFs.

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice; minimum 12 months of RN experience.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited school, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or a three‑year diploma from an accredited program.
• Basic computer skills with proficiency in MS Word and Outlook.

• Previous experience in chronic hemodialysis, acute dialysis, and/or peritoneal dialysis (PD) nursing.
• Background in training/teaching or healthcare education.
• Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN).
