The Safety Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety programs to ensure a safe workplace for all employees. This role conducts safety training, performs inspections, ensures compliance with OSHA and company safety standards, and supports continuous improvement in workplace safety culture. The Safety Coordinator plays a key role in minimizing risk, preventing injuries, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Safety Program Development & Compliance
  • Develop and implement workplace safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA and company requirements.
  • Maintain and update the company’s safety manual, records, and documentation.
  • Ensure all required reports (OSHA logs, incident reports, audits) are accurate and submitted on time.
• Training & Communication
  • Conduct safety orientations, toolbox talks, and refresher training sessions.
  • Train employees on the safe use of equipment, PPE, and emergency response procedures.
  • Serve as a point of contact for safety-related questions and concerns.
• Inspections & Audits
  • Perform regular safety inspections of shop, warehouse, and office areas.
  • Identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, and follow up to ensure resolution.
  • Support external audits and regulatory inspections as needed.
  • Lead investigations of workplace accidents, injuries, or near-misses.
  • Document findings, determine root causes, and recommend corrective/preventive measures.
  • Monitor effectiveness of implemented safety improvements.
  • Track safety metrics (incident rates, near misses, corrective actions) and report to leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve safety culture and reduce risk exposure.
  • Promote employee engagement in safety programs through recognition and involvement.

• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and training skills.
• Ability to identify hazards and recommend practical solutions.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.

• High school diploma or equivalent required;
  Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of safety, compliance, or EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• OSHA 30 certification required (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
