Executive Chef – Wintonbury Hills Golf Course

We are hiring a Full‑time Executive Chef to provide exceptional food & beverage service, oversee kitchen operations, and create memorable experiences for our members and guests.
Responsibilities- Hire, train, and supervise kitchen and front‑of‑house staff.
- Develop menu concepts and plan all meals for club venues, signature events, and catering.
- Maintain food quality, portion control, cost control, and adhere to health department codes.
- Conduct daily food inspections, ensure ingredients are fresh and quality meets standards.
- Manage food cost budget, adjust requisitions, control waste, and maintain inventory.
- Oversee back‑of‑house cleanliness, organization, and safety.
- Prepare and submit weekly staff schedules; adjust to maximize efficiency.
- Lead daily operations, set performance standards, and provide direction to staff.
- Conduct pre‑shift meetings; maintain high service standards and guest experience.
- Protect facility assets, reduce breakage, and ensure equipment is in proper condition.
- Act in accordance with Troon policies and maintain required food handler certificates.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Proficient wine, beer, and spirits service.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Supervisory and leadership experience.
- Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks.
- Comfortable in a high‑paced, stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- At least 3 years culinary experience as Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine, or Executive Chef in a high‑end setting.
- At least 1 year front‑of‑house leadership experience in a high‑end setting.
- Culinary certification or associate’s degree and working knowledge of point‑of‑sale systems.
Consistently moving between indoor (85%) and outdoor (15%) environments; exposure to weather while serving guests outdoors. Work area may be crowded and noisy. Frequent trips to kitchen where floor may be slippery from moisture and grease. Sharp equipment movement, sharp utensils, harmful chemicals and solvents risk if safety procedures are not followed.
