We are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to advise on transportation projects across the New York Metro area. The role is available immediately and requires a strong technical background and project ownership.

• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and construction documents.
• Evaluate ground conditions and assess their impacts on design and construction.
• Provide guidance to entry‑level engineers.
• Perform work within agreed budgets and schedules with little supervision.
• Independently complete primary design elements for engineering works.
• Prepare subsurface exploration programs, laboratory assignments, and geotechnical reports.
• Conduct geotechnical investigations and construction inspections.
• Lead/manage geotechnical engineering investigations.
• Perform pile analysis, slope stability, settlement analysis, ground improvements, and seepage analysis.
• Utilize software such as APILE, LPILE, GROUP, SEEPW, SLOPEW, and GRLWEAP.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (structural engineers, architects, environmental specialists).
• Develop and implement quality control procedures for geotechnical projects.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations.
• Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field and at least 6 years of related experience or equivalent education.
• Valid US Driver’s License.

• NY and NJ Professional Engineer licensure preferred or ability to obtain within one year.
• Master of Science in Civil Engineering.
• At least 5 years of related work experience preferred.
• Experience with pile analysis, slope stability, and seepage analysis.
• Experience with software such as APILE, LPILE, GROUP, SEEPW, SLOPEW, and GRLWEA.
• Ability to prepare geotechnical engineering reports and construction documents.

Salary range: $130,000 – $150,000 per year, commensurate with education, qualifications, experience, and location.
