Description:
- Ability to work with seniors in a courteous manner.
- Ability to assist the Activities Director in implementing an ongoing program of activities designed to meet the interests, physical, mental and psychosocial well being of each resident in accordance with the interdisciplinary assessment: current federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations; facility policy and procedure’ and as directed by the Activity Director.
- Ability to identify resident activity interest, needs and problems, and forward such information to the Activity Director.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in Recreation Department in a LTC environment is a Must
. - Compliance with applicable health laws and regulations, including but not limited to those relating to COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations.
- Special talents, such as crafts or ability to play a musical instrument preferred.
- High school diploma.
- Ability to speak read and write English.
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the work day.
- Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
- Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthesis that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met
- Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability.
- Must be able to lift and move residents, equipment, supplies, etc. in excess of fifty (50) pounds.
