Safety Coordinator

C & J Equipment Manufacturing is a full-service fabrication company established in 1978. C&J has an immediate opening for a Safety Coordinator in Bloomfield, NM. This position is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of safety initiatives. The successful candidate will:

• Promote and support the overall health and safety of employees and the work environment
• Deliver weekly and monthly safety meetings and materials, oversee the compliance of tailgate meetings, and maintain associated documentation
• Conduct safety orientation for new hires
• Conduct facility audits on a regular basis to ensure compliance
• Maintain state, federal, and company regulatory records and OSHA 300 reports
• Work diligently to implement risk prevention training and techniques

• Experience with workplace safety strategies
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and recording requirements
• Knowledge of how to conduct workplace investigations timely and according to all applicable policies and regulations
• Computer skills and ability to learn new programs quickly
• Ability to think critically and make decisions objectively and logically
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Pay is dependent upon experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
