Description
Power Motive is currently seeking Field Service Technician. Our technicians receive work direction from our Service Mangers. Work will be conducted in a safe, professional, and timely manner. We require our technicians to be able to test for proper operations, diagnose, identify, and repair machine problems. Perform component removal, disassembly, rebuild and installation in a timely and efficient manner. Our technicians must be able to safely operate all machines and work in a safe manner.
We require our technicians to conduct themselves in the presence of customers in a manner that promotes a positive image of the company.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
- Diagnose problems and determine what repairs are needed.
- Continuously develop skills in disassembly, assembly and repair of components and machines.
- Perform all service tasks as assigned by the Service Manager or Service Writer/Shop Foreman.
- Prepare all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments.
- Prepare legible, accurate and detailed records of work as it is performed.
- Document unusual or excessive time requirements for unforeseen problems.
- Report any additional work recommended and/or required on equipment to the Service Manager for notification to customer or sales department.
- Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Maintain and care for all shop tools, machines and equipment, company assigned vehicle and report any additional special tools needed to Service
- Manager.
- Accountable for completing/performing all work as stated.
- Always conduct self to present a professional image of the dealership.
- Promote dealership growth thru suggestive selling of parts and service.
- Accountability of all time and materials used in job assigned.
- Proactively works with other employees and departments to give the customer a positive experience in ways that promote respect and teamwork.

- 3-5 years working knowledge of heavy earthmoving equipment.
- Maintain proper driving credentials as per or employee handbook.
- Maintain DOT physicals in accordance with NMDOT regulations.
- Ability to read and understand all procedure policies and manuals.
- Ability to write legibly, type using laptop computer to complete daily work orders and documents.
- Ability to speak effectively. Ability to work flexible hours in accordance with the needs of our customers.
