CDL Driver

Overview

Frank's Supply Company is a major supplier of construction tools and equipment with our focus on both sales and rental.

We are currently seeking a qualified CDL DRIVER for our Farmington, NM location.

This position delivers, picks-up and transfers rental equipment to insure complete customer satisfaction.

Administrative tasks include:

• Maintain accurate delivery and pickup records
• Secure customer s signature on all rental contracts
• Inform management of any changes or difficulties with deliveries, pickups, or equipment
• Inform management of any new opportunities on job sites
• Maintain Driver Log, Vehicle inspection forms, and mileage logs
• Maintain and comply with company procedures and policies

Operating instructions - tasks includes:

• Proper operation of Tractor and flat bed trailer
• Proper instruction of equipment operation including demonstrating equipment to customers including all safety related issues, e.g. gloves, safety glasses, ear protection, etc.
• Make sure equipment is operational upon delivery
• Obtain customer signature that they have received operating instructions - have customer sign contract in appropriate area.

Loading and unloading equipment - tasks includes:

• Yard tickets must be completed fully to include correct hour meter reading, serial numbers, and all related equipment such as jackhammer steel, hoses, etc. Each yard ticket must include customer s vehicle license plate number, and contract number.
• Use a forklift where necessary to load equipment
• Fasten chains and or binders to secure load on trailer during transit
• Load only items listed on the contract. Send the customer back into the office if they need additional equipment.
• Record any damaged equipment or missing items on yard "IN" ticket and report to rental counter with hour meter reading and fuel amount.

Vehicles maintenance and Safety- tasks include:

• Observe all laws, drive courteously and safely
• Perform daily vehicle safety inspection
• Regularly scheduled service, e.g. oil and filer changes, etc.
• Damage and repair work needs to be reported to rental manager immediately
• All vehicles must be clean inside and out

• A minimum of 3-5 years Class A CDL with flatbed experience
• Rental experience preferred
• Construction Equipment knowledge
• Complete knowledge of DOT Regulations
• Valid Class A Commercial Diver s License & Current Medical Certificate
• Clean Driving record
• Good reading and comprehension skills
• Good customer service and communication skill
• The ability to consistently lift up to 50 pounds
