Brilliant Financial Staffing is engaged in a search for a Payroll Accountant with our client located in Bloomingdale, IL. The client is a construction company working with various industries including tech, healthcare, industrial, etc. The position is contract to hire. Responsibilities include payroll processing, benefit administration, and general accounting duties.

• Collection and processing of payroll weekly from employee timesheets.
• Maintenance of payroll records including additions, deletions, onboarding new employees.
• All payroll tax deposits & reports weekly and monthly.
• Work with outside CPA firm to prepare quarterly payroll tax returns, make deposits, assist with Year End W2 forms, create internal PDF of all W2 documents.
• Complete all union reports monthly and make payments.
• Prepare monthly union Vacation Report and process payment.
• Maintain weekly and monthly 401K reports and transfer employee contributions to ABC; update company match weekly.
• Maintain 401K plan working with outside Pension Consultant and investment Consultant.
• Process employees pay increases for union & non-union employees as needed.

• Quick Books experience is highly preferred.
• Union payroll experience (most important requirement).
• Recent payroll experience.
