Job Description & How to Apply Below

Korpack is a food-grade (SQF) co-packer for leading consumer brands, providing contract packaging, packaging materials and automation in the western Chicago suburbs. We're doubling into 350,000 sq ft across two facilities, Bloomingdale and St. Charles, and investing in the people and systems to run them. Two things define how we work. Efficiency: lines that run to standard, every shift. Accuracy: work orders, inventory and shipments that are right the first time in our ERP (Acumatica).

Our customers see their product move work-order by work-order, and we've promised them no delay. If you want a place where your work shows up in the numbers, keep reading.

About

The Role

Sourcing & Procurement decides what Korpack buys, from whom and at what cost, and maintains the vendor pricing every Korpack purchase order is built from. This is the department's first new seat. You will own the day-to-day desk: purchase orders, vendor records and setup, and the inbound Supply Chain mailbox, and support the team on vendor quotes and price updates.

What Makes This Role Different

This isn't a typical seat. Most of the job is a high-volume PO desk, including customer-owned materials for our co-packing programs, plus keeping vendor records accurate and running the inbound shared mailbox. If you like clean data and closing loops, this is the job. We'll train you on the Korpack-specific parts.

What You'll Do
Vendor records & pricing support
  • Set up new vendors end to end, including a call to a known vendor contact to confirm any new or changed bank details.
  • Keep vendor records clean: capabilities, vendor class, contacts and PO email routing, duplicate accounts.
  • Gather what's needed to set up new items correctly (specs, units of measure, pack sizes), and check unit-of-measure conversions before they cause receiving or cost errors.
  • Request quotes, specs and lead times from vendors, and collect vendor price lists.
  • Support price maintenance: gather vendor pricing data, prepare price files, and upload routine price updates on stock items.
Purchase orders & follow-up
  • Assist with the co-packing PO desk: create zero-cost POs for customer-owned materials from request to close, with the right site, quantities, receipt tolerance, and lot and expiry references.
  • Work with the warehouse so customer-owned and purchased materials are on hand and ready before each production run.
  • Assist in replenishment POs for internal-use supplies and production consumables against reorder points across both buildings.
  • Work the open-PO book weekly: send every PO the day it is created, confirm ship dates and that the vendor's confirmed price matches the PO, chase past-due lines and close what has been received.
Inbound coordination
  • Shared mailbox: vendor and carrier messages, ship notices, packing lists and certificates, routed to the right person the same day.
  • Flag inbound shipments that should not be accepted (no PO, wrong item, missing paperwork) before they reach the dock.
  • Keep customer and co-packer references consistent (PO numbers, lot, expiry) so every receipt matches its PO.
Required
What you bring
  • 1-3 years in purchasing, inventory, or supply chain or master-data coordination, ideally in distribution, manufacturing or packaging.
  • Experience working directly with vendors on quotes, order status and deliveries.
  • Hands-on ERP purchasing experience:
    Acumatica preferred;
Net Suite, Epicor, SAP Business One, Microsoft Dynamics or similar.
  • Strong Excel: lookups, pivot tables, and preparing clean files for system uploads.
  • Accuracy at high volume. You finish what you start and leave a clean record behind.
  • Clear, professional written communication with vendors, carriers and co-workers.
Nice to have
  • Packaging knowledge: corrugated, flexible film, folding cartons and labels, and how they're measured (MSF, rolls, impressions).
  • Experience with customer-owned or consigned inventory, lot and expiry tracking, or food-safety paperwork (SQF/GFSI, certificates of analysis).
Our Commitment to You

At Korpack, customer delight is not just a goal; it's our way of doing business. We are committed to delivering quality services consistently, on time, and maintaining enduring relationships. Our endeavour is to continually enhance our performance and adhere to the highest statutory and regulatory standards.
