Multi-Unit Team Leader

Multi-Unit Team Leader at H&R Block is a front-line leadership role overseeing three tax offices. You will lead customer-centric teams to accelerate the seasonal tax business and deliver an outstanding client experience.

• Provide leadership and development for associates across three tax offices
• Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office staff
• Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders
• Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement
• Assist the DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions
• Conduct timely performance reviews and address performance concerns with the Associate Relations Center
• Build an engaging team environment by training and coaching associates and recognizing outstanding contributions
• Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates
• Create associate work schedules across all offices and ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management
• Travel between offices as required
• Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment*
• Prior tax preparation experience is not required

• Multi-unit people management experience in the retail, restaurant, banking, or related industry is preferred
• People management experience with the demonstrated ability to grow and develop associates
• Aptitude for growth plan execution and the ability to lead toward a growth culture
• Strong decision-making and judgment skills and the ability to function in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a customer-centric mindset that seeks to understand and exceed client needs
• Computer proficiency with MS Office
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or high school diploma with an equivalent combination of experience
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment (if preparing tax returns)*

  In-person (not remote)
• Schedule:
  
  Part-time in the fall to prepare for the busy tax season, transitioning to full-time January–April with possible evening and weekend hours
• Travel:
  Travel between offices as required
• Pay Range: $15.00 - $40.00 per hour (local minimum wage laws apply)
