Position Summary
Pilates Instructors are responsible for supporting all members in championing happier and healthier lives by building and nurturing relationships. They provide a positive member experience that is educational, supportive, and upholds the integrity of the Life Time Brand.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Develop safe, professional, and comprehensive client programs that drive client goal achievement and retention
- Monitor and instruct clients during Pilates training sessions on the safe and effective use of the equipment
- Conduct fitness consultations for new clients including pre-participation screening and goal setting to assess and recommend Pilates training programs
- Instruct both private and group Pilates classes
- Promote and sell Pilates training programs and classes, Group Fitness classes, and Personal Training to members
- Complete all administrative requirements associated with each client’s fitness plan
- Maintain the cleanliness of the Pilates studio
- Remain current on certifications and new trends in the industry
- Educate members on current health and fitness issues and trends
- Ensure all members feel competent, confident, and connected by providing superior customer service through complimentary and based services/programming
- Document all aspects of client programming
- Remain current on credentials and continuing education to advance throughout the levels program
- Provide fitness floor assistance to all members to ensure safety, provide education, and motivate members
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of personal training experience
- Experience in Pilates program design
- Certified Pilates Trainer
- Trained and Certified in Reformer, Tower, Chair, and Barrels
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds
- CPR and AED Certified
- 150–400 hours comprehensive Pilates Certificate (minimum education to include Mat, Reformer, Tower, Chair)
This position will be paid commissions between 10% and 60% depending on the product and the Team Member's productivity. The weekly minimum pay for the position will be at least the applicable minimum wage for each hour worked.
