Individual Tax Accountant

A well-established CPA firm in Bloomington, Illinois is seeking an Individual Tax Accountant. This position is ideal for candidates with 0-8 years of tax preparation experience who enjoy working directly with clients and providing high-quality tax compliance and planning services.

• 0-8 years of experience in public accounting
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
• CPA license or active pursuit of CPA certification preferred, but not required
• Ability and willingness to work additional hours during tax season
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines

• Prepare individual income tax returns and work directly with clients to gather information and answer questions
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service and communication
• Manage multiple projects while meeting established deadlines
• While the focus for this position will be personal tax preparation, there will be coordination and planning with S Corporations, partnerships, LLCs and trusts.
• Collaborate with team members to provide comprehensive tax solutions for clients
• Competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $90,000, depending on experience, credentials, and CPA status
