Job Title

Scribbles Center for Learning at Benjamin Elementary – part‑time, afternoon School‑Age Assistant Teacher

High school diploma or GED, ability to pass all background checks, and previous childcare experience.

Monday - Friday, 2:15pm – 5:30pm

$16.00 – $17.50 per hour

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
• Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program.
• Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children.
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
