E. Booth Co. is a major distributor of industrial process control instrumentation products and related services to customers in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee; founded in 1963.
- Ability to successfully provide start-up of new units, troubleshoot, calibrate, repair and maintain industrial process control instrumentation products and analytical devices, as well as gas detection and valves.
- Actively diagnose root causes of equipment problems and develop permanent solutions for customers.
- Technical competency with industrial process controls systems and familiarity with a variety of applications in Food & Beverage, Chemical, Water/Wastewater or GMP environments.
- Read and interpret technical documentation and prepare technical summaries in written and oral formats.
- Understand applications and products in level, pressure, flow, temperature and analytical aspects.
- Communicate technical information effectively to customers and teammates; comfortable leading a classroom setting is preferred.
- Self-starting mindset and ability to negotiate sales of product lines and additional services in the field is desired.
- Ability to work with hands and use calibration/testing equipment; hand-to-eye coordination.
- Submit field service reports, calibration certifications, timesheets, and expense reports in a timely manner.
- Basic computer skills; willingness to learn new technical platforms.
- Active position requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing as needed.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- All other duties as assigned by Management.
- Must be willing to travel with occasional overnights (about 50%) and have a clean driving record.
- Minimum 3 years related experience.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. The noise level is usually moderate. The role may require sitting at a computer workstation for long periods and is active with standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, digging and climbing. Specific vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
