Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices.
  • Lead customer-centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business.
  • Serve as the front-line manager for leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving office growth objectives for three offices.
  • Start with a flexible part-time schedule in the fall; transition to full-time January–April, with evening and weekend hours as needed. This role is in-person.
What you’ll bring to the team
  • Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders.
  • Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office growth plans and client growth targets, including local partnerships and community involvement.
  • Assist DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions.
  • Conduct timely performance reviews and resolve associate issues with the Associate Relations Center.
  • Build an engaging team environment across all offices through training and coaching, recognizing contributions.
  • Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates.
  • Create associate work schedules and ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management across offices.
  • Travel between offices as required.
  • Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment*
Your Expertise
  • People management experience with the ability to grow and develop associates.
  • Aptitude for growth plan execution and leading toward a growth culture.
  • Strong decision-making and judgment skills; able to operate in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a high school diploma with equivalent experience.
  • Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns)*

Pay Range

The pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. Individual pay decisions depend on experience, education, skill, performance, and location. Eligible associates may participate in incentive plans and benefits as described.
