As a Staff Pharmacist, you will model our values, deliver genuine care, and support the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing the pharmacy team.

• Live our purpose by helping manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
• Take direction from the Pharmacy Manager and oversee the pharmacy as their proxy during bench shifts without overlap, strengthening pharmacy performance measures through coaching and consistent follow‑up of team members.
• Assume the Pharmacy Manager’s day‑to‑day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist‑on‑duty.
• Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and directing the team to follow safety guardrails at every workstation.
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, coaching the pharmacy team, collaborating with the patient’s total health‑care team, and proactively resolving insurance or medication issues.
• Proactively offer and deliver immunizations to keep patients healthy; engage and support Pharmacy Technicians to learn to immunize.
• Support effective management of pharmacy inventory by coaching the team on best practices, especially protecting cold‑chain products.
• Partner with the Pharmacy Manager to ensure operations comply with state Board of Pharmacy regulations; escalate issues to the Pharmacy Manager and/or Rx DL as needed.
• Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, while fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic; support writing the pharmacy schedule if directed.
• Maintain relevant clinical and technical skills as the industry evolves, seeking opportunities to expand knowledge for better patient support.
• Support access to care and improve patient outcomes through pharmacist‑delivered clinical care such as testing and prescribing services where permissible.
• Understand and comply with all federal and state laws, professional standards, and ethical principles; comply with CVS Health policies and procedures to support patient safety and protect privacy and security.

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to complete required training within the designated timeframe.
