Overview

A respected hospital in Bloomington, IL is seeking an experienced Travel Labor & Delivery RN for a 13‑week night‑shift assignment. This role is ideal for a confident clinician skilled in supporting patients through labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in hand (required for submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
• Current BLS and NRP certifications
• Permanent residence must be 50+ miles from the facility to qualify for the full travel rate
• Strong fetal monitoring, triage, and patient‑education skills

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to laboring patients, including assessment, monitoring, and support throughout labor and delivery
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and support providers during emergent situations
• Manage postpartum recovery and newborn stabilization as needed
• Collaborate closely with OB providers, anesthesia, NICU, and support staff
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold all unit and hospital protocols
• Deliver compassionate, patient‑centered care during all stages of the birthing process
