We’re located in Barrel House, the official ISU football watch‑party venue. This role leads our Back Of House team and oversees daily restaurant operations, ensuring a clean, safe kitchen that produces quality food on time.

• Perform all BOH duties and back up all personnel as needed.
• Manage BOH staff and ensure checklist duties are complete.
• Assist in orientating and onboarding new BOH team members.
• Keep the food waste log up to date to prevent high food waste.
• Maintain temperature logs for all coolers and freezers.
• Ensure food presentation is appealing and accurate.
• Ensure items on line are fresh and at appropriate temperatures.
• Ensure menu items are prepared properly and according to Barrel House standards.
• Ensure prepped food items are properly stored and dated.
• Complete or delegate freezer pulls of any food items needed for the following day.
• Complete prep list for morning prep team members.
• Check out evening kitchen staff and be the last set of eyes on the BOH; ensure the next shift is set up for success and the BOH is clean, stocked and ready.
• Adhere to company standards, including personal hygiene and appearance.
• Adhere to health and safety standards when handling food.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education
:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Computer

Skills:

Preferred:
Point of Sale System.

Experience: 1 to 5 years previous server experience.

• Work in a standing position for long periods of time.
• Reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Reach by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction.
• Perform duties with extreme temperature and noise ranges.
• Hear and speak clearly to communicate in person and over the phone.
