Sales Leader – Part‑Time at Little Green Apple Hallmark
Responsibilities- Provide exemplary selling and customer service that improves store productivity and profitability.
- Recommend product solutions and serve as a role model of best practice retail execution.
- Focus on sales, service, and relationship‑building at all times.
- Share product knowledge, read and incorporate store communications, and manage daily tasks assigned by Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager.
- Open and/or close the store at the start or end of the day.
- Conduct inventory management, product sets, stocking, housekeeping and assist with stockroom duties as assigned.
- Work closely with the corporate store team and report directly to the Store Manager.
- Maintain a warm, inviting, easy‑to‑navigate shopping environment.
- Build and share expertise on products, promotions, services, and brand rewards programs tailored to shopper needs.
- Support store management with the team.
- Help customers find perfect card and gift solutions.
- Showcase stories and communities of caring to reinforce kindness.
- Handle store operations – replenish, merch, ringing sales, processing shipments, inventory, orders, curbside deliveries.
- Deliver an exceptional consumer shopping experience that inspires, enables, and encourages guests to return.
- Help meet sales goals by ensuring each customer leaves with everything they needed.
- Uphold all company policies and practices.
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
- Minimum 1 year of prior retail experience, sales, or customer service.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Open and close the store at least 3 times per week and work 2 weekend shifts per month.
- Flexible schedule to meet business needs – events, holidays, evenings, weekends.
- Proof of eligibility to work legally in the United States.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 or more years of experience in specialty retail, sales, or customer service.
- Strong customer‑focused engagement and consultative selling skills.
- Effective communication with customers and employees – strong sense of urgency, flexibility, willingness to adapt.
- Receive feedback and take action when appropriate.
- Proficiency using a computer and technology.
- Desire and ability to learn the business.
- Accountable for maintaining accurate records and deposits of store cash and products assets.
- Train new store employees and support store management initiatives.
Must be able to continuously stand, walk, push, pull, lift, carry up to 10‑40 pounds, use fine finger movement, and perform tasks with hands and fingers. Ability to bend, climb, kneel, squat, lift up to 75 pounds, drive, and communicate with customers, co‑workers, vendors in person or phone. Exposure to dust, cleaning agents, truck exhaust, inadequate lighting, noise, scents, work outside, and heights in stockroom or product floor.
EmploymentStatus
Regular, part‑time, hourly position, non‑exempt, 10‑28 hours per week.
Pay$16.00 per hour.
