Sales Rep - Agriculture Products
Pay: $60,000k - $100,000k base depending on experience. Total Earning potential is $100k+ with commissions
Location:
Territory includes Gibson City and surrounding area.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local farm customers.
- Identify customer needs and provide agronomic recommendations tailored to their operations.
- Promote and sell seed, fertilizers, and crop protection products.
- Recommend agronomic practices to maximize yields and profitability.
- Stay up to date on the latest agronomic trends, products, and research.
- Work with growers to implement sustainable farming practices and precision agriculture.
- Identify new sales opportunities and grow the customer base.
- Develop sales strategies and promotional programs to increase market share.
- Organize and participate in grower meetings, field days, and educational workshops.
- Maintain accurate sales records and customer interactions in CRM systems.
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to offer the best solutions to customers.
- Track market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies.
- Prepare reports on sales performance and customer feedback.
- Previous experience in agricultural sales is a plus but not required.
- Previous experience in agriculture is a plus but not required
- People-oriented with a gift for building relationships and making others feel comforted
- Highly organized with great time management
- Self-motivated and quick to grasp new information
- Hard working and able to work long hours during the fall and spring, including weekends.
- Ability to gain and demonstrate significant knowledge of agriculture products, services and technologies.
- Responsible driving history, valid driver's license.
- Great verbal skills. Easily able to communicate with growers and customers daily.
