The Electrical Apprentice will work under the direction of an Electrician performing installations, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems.

• Assist with safely planning and completing Main Panel Upgrades (MPU)
• Assist with diagnosing and troubleshooting system components to resolve electrical issues
• Ensure work performed is of good craftsmanship and compliant with current NEC and local codes
• Determine when additional material is required to complete job
• Document project by taking photos and completing work orders
• Maintain Company vehicle stocked with proper tools and equipment
• Maintains adherence to Company policies, environmental health and safety policies and good housekeeping practices
• Identifies gaps in safety standards and provides recommendations to higher level technical staff and management
• Follow OSHA, NEC, AHJ and Utility requirements
• Ensure job sites are left clean
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Must possess or obtain an Apprentice License within state of employment if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of electrical installation and repair experience preferred
• High School Graduate or GED

• Must have working knowledge and experience replacing residential electrical services and distribution panels

• Ability to effectively manage work to achieve required timelines
• Experience with all required hand and power tools associated with the electrical trade
• Ability to read and interpret single line drawings
• Must maintain a clean driving record and valid state driver's license

• Working knowledge of current NEC codes

• Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
• Stand, walk, and climb as needed; may require lifting up to 50+ pounds
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, and balance
• See details of objects that are close and interpret colors and shades
• Communicate effectively and react quickly to job needs

Travel may be required for business purposes. If travel is required, must have a valid Driver's License/Insurance and the ability to drive a personal vehicle to different sites.
