Porter - Service & Body Shop

The Royal South Service & Collision Center Porters are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our Service department & Body Shop. We are looking to fill this full time position with a person who is dependable and responsible for their work schedule. You must have a clean driver's license since you will be moving vehicles. This is an entry level position focused on the shops' cleanliness.

It can also lead to other roles such as Service Advisor, Parts Advisor, Body Technician or others! There is some heavy lifting involving removing trash, used tires, scrap metal, & failed parts. This position will include delivering high-quality cleaning services to ensure clean work bays for both departments technicians. This a full-time hourly position in the auto industry is located at Royal South Toyota in Bloomington, Indiana.

You will report to the Service & Collision Center managers. This role is an individual contributor, and the ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, dependable, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This position has a Monday - Friday or Tuesday - Saturday schedule with 37-40 hours depending on work load.

• Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks in the collision center & service department such as sweeping, mopping, and organizing tools and equipment
• Keep a clean and orderly work environment, including the detail bay and shop bays
• Cleaning and preparing vehicles for delivery after repairs
• Perform thorough detailing services on completed repairs, ensuring all surfaces are cleaned and polished to dealership standards
• Utilize appropriate tools and products for detailing, including polishing machines, vacuums, and cleaning solutions
• Identify and report any vehicle damages or imperfections to the Collision Center Manager
• Maintain accurate records of daily work and completed detailing services
• Assist in final inspection of vehicles before returning them to customers
• Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols at all times

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in automotive detailing preferred
• Knowledge of detailing products and techniques
• Ability to work efficiently, independently, and as a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness and organization
• Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50lbs
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test
