Since opening its doors in 1941, Indiana University (IU) Auditorium has served as a university and community gathering place, hosting world-class artists, entertainers, musicians, and lecturers in its 3,200-seat theatre. IU Auditorium creates world-class arts and event experiences at Indiana University and serves as the community's gathering place.
Responsibilities- Sells tickets in-person
- Processes orders
- Answers questions about events
- Promptly resolves customer complaints
- Ensures maximum client satisfaction
- Provides extraordinary customer service
Required:
Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University.
- Sales or customer service experience
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to interact and communicate with a wide variety of people
- Comfortable giving phone customer service
- Proficient using technology
- Ability to handle stressful situations and resolve conflicts
- Knowledge of the venue and events being promoted
This role requires the ability to remain in a stationary position as well as the ability to move about the workplace for long durations. It requires effective communication, and the ability to operate specialized software for ticket sales. The role requires the ability to move objects up to 10 pounds. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without accommodation.
Hours& Compensation
Positions are continuous year-round. Bloomington, Indiana. $11.50 per hour. 10–20 hours per week, including shifts during the day and/or evenings based on events and shows at various venues. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
