Pre-Operative Testing Position IU Health in Bloomington, IN; FM

Indiana University Health Medical Group is recruiting a Pre-Operative Testing
Hospitalist for IU Health South Regional Hospital in Bloomington, Indiana.

• Full-time M-F, no weekends and no call requirement
• Provide education to patients and their family members prior to surgery;
  Perform physicals, diagnostic testing, and medical history to screen and optimize medical conditions that may affect surgical outcome

• BE/BC in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Hospitalist experience preferred
• Physician licensed in Indiana or eligible for medical licensure in Indiana

The new IU Health Bloomington Hospital and Regional Academic Health Center, part of the Indiana University Health Medical Group, opened in December 2021. The facility offers a personalized approach to inpatient services (including intensive care, complex surgeries and comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology services), outpatient services with leading-edge diagnostic testing, flexible space in the emergency department for post-care observation, a dedicated trauma center and a cancer infusion center.

At the same time, the facility strengthens healthcare education by providing space for collaboration and coordination of care and teaching. Students and trainees frequently come to the hospital side of the facility for clinical experiences.
