Lecturer, Multichannel Web Design and Development

Overview

The Department of Human-Centered Computing, Indiana University Luddy School of Informatics, Computing and Engineering at IU Indianapolis, invites applicants for a full-time Lecturer appointment in the area of Multichannel Web Design and Development
. Exceptional instructors are being sought to join our fast-growing department.

• Teach assigned courses in the Media Arts and Science and Informatics programs,
• Develop courses for the traditional classroom setting, computer labs and online education;
• Help setting program and specialization goals, develop and continually update the curriculum and training activities;
• Contribute to the recruitment and marketing of the program;
• Interview, evaluate and advise students;
• Engage in scholarly activity that enhances teaching and learning;
• Serve as a member of the Luddy School in Indianapolis, departmental and program committees;
• Maintain current knowledge and skillset in the Web Design and Development profession through active participation in professional organizations, collaboration, practice and research;
• Serve on professional committees.

The appointment will begin August 1, 2026, at the IU Indianapolis campus. This position entails a standard teaching load of four courses per semester, with a distribution of effort consisting of 80% teaching and 20% service responsibilities. Also, this is an in-person faculty appointment requiring full-time on-campus presence. Salary is competitive based on experience and qualifications.
