Code/IT Academy Facilitator – Ivy Tech Community College
Job OverviewIvy Tech - Bloomington is seeking a student-focused Code/IT Academy Facilitator to provide onsite coordination and ongoing support for adult learners in a 12-week program. This role manages classroom operations, supports student engagement and success, and serves as a key liaison with the Code/IT Academy Program Manager.
Position open to current Code/IT program site facilitators only.
Responsibilities- Manage onsite classroom technology including a computer to initiate Zoom Program sessions, Owl camera, Chromebooks, and monitor for class projection.
- Collaborate and communicate with Ivy Tech Code/IT Academy Program Manager regularly.
- Manage the on-site operation of the Code/IT Academy cohort.
- Monitor attendance, engagement, and academic progress with proactive outreach.
- Coordinate food, drinks, and room set‑up for class.
- Foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment that prioritizes peer engagement and career outcomes.
- Address any issues with participants during the class and alert Ivy Tech Code/IT Academy Program Manager in writing of those issues.
- Provide ongoing support for students and the Program, including bi‑weekly check‑ins with each student and regular reports back to the Program Manager.
- Be present at each class during the duration of the 12‑week series.
- Provide ongoing communication and support for Program goals and provide feedback to the Ivy Tech Program Manager on classes, participants and Program issues as they arise.
- Be available to respond to inquiries, questions and provide Program information upon reasonable request, including by Ivy Tech.
- High school diploma or associate’s degree.
- Customer service experience.
- Experience with technology (Zoom, virtual meeting equipment).
- Experience with Google Drive, cloud‑based platforms.
