Graduate Admissions and Recruitment Communication Technology Specialist; Student Services

Department Specific Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains the IU and Schools of Public Health Application Service (SOPHAS) graduate application back-end environments annually, including program setup, requirements, and workflows.
• Uses university Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systemsto support the execution of recruitment communication campaigns,including building emails, automating workflows, and trackingengagement metrics.
• Collaborates with university partners to support recruitmenttechnology projects like webinars, video portfolios, Request For Information (RFI) forms, and Canvas-based recruitment spaces.
• Generates routine and ad hoc reports for admissions and recruitment using systems such as Salesforce, Slate, andWebAdMIT.
• Supports data entry and validation for annual accreditation and institutional reporting.
• Creates and updates standard operating procedures (SOPs) for admissions and recruitment technology processes.
• Provides occasional application processing support during peakadmissions season (October-April).
• Responds to applicant inquiries via email and phone and provides general guidance on the application process during high-volume periods.
• Occasionally supports recruitment activities, such as graduatefairs and outreach events, based on team needs.

General Responsibilities

• Develops and implements programs and initiatives that touch onvarious/multiple student-related goals, such as enhancing and reinforcing academic engagement and experiential learning;increasing student engagement, wellness, and involvement; fosteringlearning, inclusion, and development; supporting students in crisisand adversity; and improving the student campus experience.
• Interfaces directly with students by attending student programming events, advising student organization leaders, meeting1-on-1 to discuss areas of concern on campus, and gatheringsatisfaction feedback from student participants to implement into future student services initiatives and objectives.
• Collaborates with staff in own department and other departments, as well as academic and campus leaders, on shared student services goals, often coordinating funding to sponsor student programs and initiatives.
• Projects outcomes for services offered at the program,department/division, or campus level. Measures and evaluateseffectiveness of student services against projected outcomes;regularly prepares reports on impact to students and budget and may present to stakeholders on effectiveness and to secure funding for initiatives moving forward.
• Serves on committees and performs student services research across the field of higher education and at peer institutions to identify and recommend best practices.
• Plans and coordinates communications for student servicesinitiatives to ensure student participation and engagement.
• May provide guidance to other student services staff; makesprocess recommendations to manager for improved delivery ofservice.

Required

• Bachelor's degree in higher education student affairs, publicaffairs, counseling, social work, education, business, or related field.
