-accredited doctoral-level and NASP
-approved Specialist-level programs. We seek applicants that are committed to pursuing an active research agenda, excellence in teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels, mentoring graduate students, and engaging in service activities within the Program, Department, School of Education, University, and broader School Psychology professional communities.
As a research-intensive program, we especially welcome applications from colleagues who have a strong research background and publication record; a demonstrated record of, or strong potential for, applying for and securing external funding or contracts; and an interest in collaborating with colleagues within and outside of our department. We also seek a colleague that provides strong research mentorship to advisees and students within the Program.
We seek a scholar whose research advances academic assessment and intervention in school settings, which may include universal screening, progress monitoring, data-based decision making, learning disabilities, and supports that improve students’ academic outcomes. However, applicants with other research agendas that compliment Program and Department faculty are welcome to apply. Our program includes a unique, growing Undergraduate Minor in Child and Adolescent Mental Health and newly developed undergraduate course offerings in School Psychology.
We are interested in applicants who can support and contribute to the growth of these exciting initiatives through teaching and service responsibilities.
- Develop and maintain an active program of research in school psychology and/or related areas, including disseminating scholarly work through peer-reviewed publications and professional presentations and pursuing external funding as appropriate.
- Teach graduate and undergraduate courses within the School Psychology Program at a course load commensurate with the requirements of a tenure-track position.
- Mentor and advise graduate students in school psychology, including supporting students’ research development and progress toward programmatic milestones. Contribute to Program, Department, and University service, including participating in School Psychology Program meetings, graduate admissions and recruitment activities, and other programmatic initiatives.
- The successful candidate will also be expected to carry a service load commensurate with requirements of a tenure-track faculty member through committee involvement and assumption of leadership roles in relevant Program, Departmental, and School activities as needed.
Complete applications received by November 30th will receive full consideration; however, the search will remain open until a suitable candidate is found. The anticipated start date is August 1, 2027.
