Caregiver / Care Professional – Senior Home Care

Bloomington, IN

Base Pay Range

$15.00 per hour – $19.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Companionship & Personal Care:
    Provide companionship and conversation; assist with bathing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence issues; offer stabilization and assistance with walking.
  • Household Support:
    Prepare meals and clean up meal‑related items; perform light housekeeping tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, changing linens, and washing and ironing laundry.
  • Health & Logistics:
    Provide medication and appointment reminders; run errands and accompany clients to appointments; give specialized care for advanced Alzheimer's/Dementia and hospice clients.
  • Reporting:
    Document daily activities and report any significant changes in a client’s needs; maintain regular communication with supervisor and office staff.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Personal:
    Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and respect for clients and their property.
  • Legal:
    Hold a valid driver’s license or state identification; possess valid auto insurance if driving clients; pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
  • Physical:
    Lift, push, or pull 25 pounds; bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and reach; adapt to various living environments and locations.
  • Language & Certification:
    No prior experience required; paid new‑hire training and continuing education provided; certification available for PCA or Direct Care Worker.
