Position SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and versatile Metal Fabrication Technician to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with a wide range of metalworking processes and equipment, with the ability to perform precision work in a fast-paced shop environment. This role requires flexibility, technical skill, and a strong understanding of fabrication trades.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain fabrication equipment, including shear, press brake, rollers, and bending machinery.
- Perform machining operations using lathes, drill presses, and band saws.
- Work with CNC equipment for cutting, shaping, and fabricating components.
- Perform layout work required to prepare jobs accurately.
- Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Measure and inspect completed work to ensure precision and adherence to standards.
- Maintain safe and efficient use of tools, equipment, and shop resources.
- Assist team members in meeting production schedules and quality requirements.
- Experience in metal fabrication trades and processes.
- Skilled in operating shear, press brake, rollers, and bending equipment.
- Hands-on experience with lathe, drill press, band saw, and CNC equipment.
- Ability to perform layout work with precision.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations (pitch, angle, radius, and chords) to support fabrication accuracy.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and specifications.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and precision workmanship.
