Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Metal Fabrication Technician to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with a wide range of metalworking processes and equipment, with the ability to perform precision work in a fast-paced shop environment. This role requires flexibility, technical skill, and a strong understanding of fabrication trades.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain fabrication equipment, including shear, press brake, rollers, and bending machinery.
  • Perform machining operations using lathes, drill presses, and band saws.
  • Work with CNC equipment for cutting, shaping, and fabricating components.
  • Perform layout work required to prepare jobs accurately.
  • Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Measure and inspect completed work to ensure precision and adherence to standards.
  • Maintain safe and efficient use of tools, equipment, and shop resources.
  • Assist team members in meeting production schedules and quality requirements.
Qualifications
  • Experience in metal fabrication trades and processes.
  • Skilled in operating shear, press brake, rollers, and bending equipment.
  • Hands-on experience with lathe, drill press, band saw, and CNC equipment.
  • Ability to perform layout work with precision.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations (pitch, angle, radius, and chords) to support fabrication accuracy.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and specifications.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and precision workmanship.
  • Reliable attendance and the ability to work as part of a collaborative team.
