Position: Part-Time Sales Associate for Student Media

• Report to the Advertising Director.
• Serve as liaison for Indiana University (IU) Student Media to maintain and grow local, campus, and national client advertising relationships.
• Work with Advertising Director to create and implement new advertising strategies and opportunities across student media platforms.
• Coordinate and oversee the development and final placement of student media ads by the advertising design team. This involves scheduling, potential strategic planning and proposals, proofing of advertisements, final placement, and collection of ad statistics to be shared with clients.
• Collaborate with entire business team for the planning, sales, and execution of a twice annual Housing Fair.
• Maintain and update databases of community partners and their contacts used to schedule all sold advertising.
• Occasionally assist with hiring, training, and guidance of small student sales team.
• Occasionally assist with special projects, business-related tasks, and events.
• Participate in all required meetings and trainings.

Qualifications EDUCATION Required

• High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)

Working Conditions / Demands

The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

Most external communication will be email- and phone-based, with occasional in-person travel to local businesses and organizations for strategic advertising meetings.

Additional Information

IU Student Media seeks a part-time addition to the professional staff team that manages student media business operations. Currently 400-600 active client contacts generate approximately $400,000 in annual revenue for student media, and we're searching for the right candidate to grow those numbers.
