Postdoctoral Position in Anion Photodetachment Spectroscopy

The Department of Chemistry in the College of Arts + Sciences at Indiana University, consists of a well-rounded research community with cutting‑edge expertise in a wide variety of modern disciplines including analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, materials chemistry, and biochemistry.

Collaborative postdoctoral research will be conducted on a range of gas‑phase chemical systems selected to explore the boundaries between valence‑bound, non‑valence‑bound, and temporary anion states. Studies may be extended to metal oxide cluster systems.

• Oversee the day‑to‑day operations on the project including maintaining equipment, ensure forward progress on data acquisition and manuscript preparation, contribute intellectually to the project, mentor graduate and undergraduate students.
