The Electrical Foreman is responsible for managing the daily field operations of electrical crews on residential or commercial job sites.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead Electrical Crews Supervise and coordinate the work of electricians and apprentices to ensure efficient, code-compliant installation of electrical systems.
  • Plan and Execute Daily Work Interpret blueprints and electrical drawings to assign tasks, lay out conduit runs, panel installations, terminations, and related work.
  • Ensure Electrical Safety and Code Compliance Enforce OSHA and NEC standards on site; conduct safety meetings and verify all work adheres to applicable codes and company policies.
  • Manage Job Site Resources Coordinate with procurement and warehouse for timely delivery of electrical materials, tools, and equipment needed for each phase of the job.
  • Perform Quality Control Checks Inspect installations regularly to ensure workmanship meets internal and external quality standards; complete punch lists as needed.
  • Track and Communicate Progress Maintain daily job logs, track crew hours and material usage, and provide progress reports to Project Manager or Superintendent.
  • Problem Solving and Issue Resolution Identify field issues and develop timely, effective solutions to avoid project delays or rework.
  • Minimum Education None

    Minimum Years of Experience 4-6

    Education & Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Valid state Journeyman or Master Electrician license (as required by location).
    • 5+ years of field experience in electrical construction; 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • In-depth understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and electrical specifications.
    • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Comfortable with using technology (tablets, apps, project tracking tools).
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
    Physical Requirements
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces.
    • Prolonged periods of walking, standing, climbing ladders, and bending.
    • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
