Senior Accountant

Sr. Accountant – Bloomington, MN

Immediate need for an Accountant with a multibillion-dollar aerospace and defense company. This is a 6-month contract paying ($20-40/hr). Accountant will apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare comprehensive financial reports. This role involves maintaining or overseeing the control of accounts and records in areas such as disbursements, expenses, tax payments, and income. Accountant is responsible for compiling and analyzing financial data to record transactions, prepare reports, and ensure accuracy.

• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare and review transactions, reports, and financial statements
• Maintain or oversee control of accounts and records, ensuring accurate disbursements, expenses, tax payments, and income tracking
• Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, consolidated financial statements, and other financial schedules and reports
• Design, modify, install, and / or maintain accounting systems to ensure proper recognition of financial transactions
• Ensure adherence to accounting and auditing policies and procedures, and effectively communicate these standards across the organization

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 4+ years of experience with financial reporting and analysis, cash disbursements, P&L statements, journal entries, audits, etc
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office
• Must be US Citizen
