Ziegler Companies is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with full-cycle accounting and will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and preparing reports. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a collaborative environment while ensuring compliance and efficiency across all accounting functions.###
** Responsibilities:
*** Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions for Ziegler and/or related entities
* Strong understanding of GAAP and other accounting standards with ability to account for complex transactions, such as capitalizing versus expensing, lease accounting, and inventory valuation
* Managing all aspects of lease accounting under ASC 842, including new leases, modifications, and terminations
* Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting processes
* Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations
* Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures
* Assist with monthly financial documents such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
* Serve as back up for various daily and monthly cash activities
* Handle Month and Year End close
* Reconcile various accounts, including bank acco
* unts and general ledger accounts, to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies
* Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with accounting standards

* Qualifications:

*** Bachelor’s degree required; accounting, finance or business related preferred
* 3-5 years of related work experience
* CPA or working towards certification preferred
* Personal Attributes:

** The pay range for this position is**$63,100.00 to $75,700.00

Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant’s location. Along with competitive pay, full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:
