$130-160k base salary (DOE)
Pathway Talent Partners is partnering with a well-established and growing construction company to identify aController who will serve as the organization's accounting leader. This position offers the opportunity to partner directly with the CFO, lead a team, and help drive operational and strategic decision-making across the business.
Position Summary:This is a critical leadership role responsible for the full scope of accounting functions, financial reporting, and strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate is hands-on, analytical, and experienced in navigating the complexities of a growing business, particularly in construction or related industries.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage all core accounting functions: accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements aligned with GAAP standards.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes; provide variance analysis and strategic insights.
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting policies.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to support strategic planning and operational decision-making.
- Oversee cash flow, collections, and disbursements.
- Coordinate audits and tax filings in collaboration with external advisors.
- Drive continuous process improvement across financial systems and practices.
- Mentor and manage a high-performing accounting team.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
- Industry experience in construction or related fields is a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills with a strong analytical mindset.
