The OpportunityBlack & Veatch is a global engineering and construction firm focused on sustainable infrastructure. We are looking for an experienced analyst to join our Market Insights unit in the Enterprise Strategy department. The senior analyst consolidates multiple information sources, delivers succinct findings, and presents conclusions through reports, presentations, and in‑person briefings. The role requires strategic and analytical thinking, stewardship of emerging global trends, and support for senior leadership and diverse internal clients.
Key Responsibilities- Organize, analyze, and execute market intelligence projects across various segments, clients, solutions, and technologies.
- Manage multiple research assignments with competing deadlines while supporting business partners’ time‑sensitive needs.
- Apply advanced analytical skills to mine, interpret, and synthesize quantitative and qualitative data into actionable insights and communications, including data visualizations, dashboards, reports, and presentations.
- Utilize GenAI tools to enhance research efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity.
- Create and write compelling trend topics for market briefs that tell a clear story with actionable business implications.
- Communicate and network with internal partners to understand client needs, manage relationships, and stay informed about external clients.
- Develop and maintain expertise across external information sources, database services, platforms, and industry relationships.
- Demonstrate advanced financial analysis skills to support strategic growth assessments and market forecast projections.
- Direct and track the competitive landscape and market differentiation using research resources, external databases, and industry experts, and share knowledge with internal teams.

Preferred Qualifications- Knowledge of the engineering and construction industry and industrial infrastructure markets – natural gas, LNG, renewables, transmission, distributed generation, hydrogen, ammonia, energy storage, environmental, water treatment, electric vehicles, data centers, manufacturing, petrochemicals, and fertilizers.
- Advanced proficiency in artificial intelligence and generative AI programs and software.
- Adept at Excel, PowerPoint, and other data and presentation tools, with advanced pivot tables, charting, visualizations, and analytics.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills for distilling large data sets into strategic insights.
- Experience and expertise in financial analysis, including market forecasts and projections.
- Project organization and coordination skills, keen attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
- Clear, concise, grammatically correct writing that turns trends and insights into compelling stories.
- Effective oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to lead executive‑level meetings, host conference calls, and deliver presentations.
- A self‑starter and entrepreneurial problem solver with strong interpersonal, collaboration, teamwork, and resilience skills.
- Creative and adaptable mindset devoted to learning, improving, and maintaining curiosity about the world and business environment.
- 10+ years of experience, preferably within a market‑competitive intelligence group and/or with engineering and construction companies or in a B2B services industry.
