The Plant Supervisor II is responsible for coaching and guiding a team of employees to achieve optimum levels of productivity, quality, and safety while meeting deadlines and budgets. This includes recruiting and training qualified employees, setting clear goals, and maintaining a high‑performance work environment.
Compensation: $65,000 – $79,000 + Monthly Gainshare Incentive
Key Accountabilities- Meet production and distribution objectives within budget.
- Teach, coach, and demonstrate work activities for team members.
- Conduct performance reviews and handle disciplinary functions.
- Coordinate, assign, and review work; set priorities for staff.
- Ensure training in safety procedures, equipment use, and company policies.
- Maintain professional communication with customers and suppliers.
- Complete accurate records, filing, and administrative duties.
- Report accidents or incidents immediately and within required time frames.
- Monitor working conditions and take corrective action for safety.
- Apply problem‑solving techniques (8D, 5 Why, Kaizen).
- Other duties as assigned by Operations or Plant Manager.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; basic math and reading skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Understanding of equipment and tolerances.
- Warehouse experience: forklift, packing, measuring.
- Proven leadership and team‑building skills (any industry).
- Commitment to safety.
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- 2–3 years supervisory experience in a related field.
- Knowledge of metals, staging, processing, packaging, shipping.
- First Aid/CPR training.
- Experience with labor relations, safety programs, ISO, lean practices.
Preferred Skills
- SAP, Inventory Management.
- Training for Cranes/PITs.
- OSHA 10 Certification.
- Interpreting Drawings, Complaint Management.
Pluses
- Machine Monitoring.
- CNC Programming.
- Solid Works.
- OSHA 30 Certification.
