* The Role:

** Entegris is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer to join a dynamic team responsible for particle analyzer and concentration monitor products in Bloomington, MN as part of the Scientific Instrument Business Unit within Entegris’ Advanced Purity Solutions Division. This segment develops technologies that support design and development of the most advanced semiconductor applications in the world.

The lead Electrical Engineer will design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacture of electrical equipment, including PCB assemblies, electrical components, test apparatus and will oversee the manufacture of these devices, systems, and equipment.  This role is also critical in terms of managing partners on mechanical and electrical engineering projects and supporting software engineering integration with product design.

Design, develop and create test apparatus necessary to perform a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment

Lead or co-lead projects related to technology development and new product introduction, from concept through release to low or high-volume manufacturing.  Responsibilities include leading phase gate projects, design and concept reviews, prototyping, documentation creation, regulatory certification, design verification test, product validation and qualification, tracking of resources, scheduling, assessing risk and mitigating, estimate costs

Characterize and test products to ensure specified requirements are met; oversee release to manufacturing activity by leading design verification testing, validation/qualification efforts, build and test of prototype systems Write technical reports and compiling data as evidence to support qualification of product or change to product, ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or requirements:
Demonstrated track record of applicable experience in field with progressing responsibilities.  Ability to be a great teammate, learning from the depth of experience teammates provide and a desire to share ideas and experiences.  Motivated and self-directed team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence personnel at all levels within the organization.:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, or Electrical and Computer Engineering, and 10+ years of directly related experience is required, advanced degree preferred, licensed as a professional engineer is a plus
** Experience**:

Experience with and knowledge of optics and/or chemistries is a plus.  Ability to quickly prove concepts and prototypes.  Proven ability to innovate and create uncommon solutions for technical challenges.  Advanced ability to learn new systems and implement the latest technology, expertise in electrical documentation (wiring schematics, code, etc.).  High aptitude for system troubleshooting, including diagnosis of software and electromechanical design issues driving overall system improvements and requirements definition.  

Ability to perform root cause analysis of electrical systems.
** Technical Proficiency**:

Experience with Altium, Github, SPICE, Xilinx and similar engineering tools.  Analog and digital circuit design capability, including deep understanding of microcontrollers, analog and digital converters, power and signal integrity.  Proficiency with multilayer PCB/PCB stackup design for signal and thermal performance, including power and signal integrity.  Power supply, cable/harness design ability, PCB fixturing for test and validation experience.  Hardware bring-up and debugging capability.  

Skills to design for EMC compliance (filtering, shielding, layout practices), ability to conduct and support EMC testing off site (radiated/conducted emissions, immunity).  Evaluate and implement robust electrical architectures, including grounding/shielding/terminating schemes.  Knowledge of how to operate EMC test equipment (GTEM cells, LISNs, RF probes), oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers.  Ability and desire to learn required software (including but not limited to product software, Python, CAD viewers, Gerber editors, IDE's, Product…
