Senior Scientist

Position Summary

Entegris is seeking a Senior Scientist to join its Analytical Services team in Chaska/Bloomington, MN. The role will be responsible for leading testing, maintenance, method development, and optimization on our suite of Thermal Desorption Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (TD‑GCMS) instrumentation and serve as a subject matter expert.

• Support laboratory operations including performing sample prep and analysis following established SOPs and safety protocols.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain analytical instrumentation specifically GCMS, but potentially to include ICPMS, IC, etc.
• Analyze data and communicate results effectively.
• Perform method development, validation, and design of experiments for R&D projects.
• Drive continuous improvement of existing testing methods and procedures.
• Maintain current knowledge of analytical techniques and methods through continuous training.

• MS with 3 years relevant industry experience or PhD with relevant experience in analytical chemistry related field or equivalent work experience to demonstrate competency.
• Considerable knowledge and understanding of GCMS systems and operations, Perkin Elmer experience ideal.
• Experience with other analytical instrumentation including IC, ICP, LPC and polymers is a plus.
• Familiarity with Labware LIMS.
• Detail‑oriented with strong technical communication skills.
• Ability to work adhering to deadlines; multitasking and prioritizing as needed.
• Self‑motivated and independent problem solver.
• A team player.

• Compensation: $74,000–$89,000 per year (actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role)
