Base pay range$16.00/hr - $18.00/hr
Responsibilities- Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
- Register sales on assigned cash register, providing courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
- Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy, using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
- Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving issues and answering questions.
- Share customer service best practices with team members to deliver a distinctive experience, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
- Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommend items for sale, trade‑ups, and companion items.
- Process customer purchases on assigned cash register; handle voids, returns, refunds, and exchanges as needed.
- Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records.
- Perform duties assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including pharmacy system use, prescription filling, and workflow assistance.
- Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to company policies and the Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
- Handle telephone calls that do not require pharmacist attention, including physician calls.
- Process manual claims for third‑party program prescription services timely and perform other clerical duties as assigned.
- Assist Pharmacy Department with inventory management activities.
- Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
- Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sales merchandise.
- Assist with separation of food items and product placement as per policies.
- Maintain knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Provide customer service in the photo area (passport, poster print, etc.).
- Assume web pick‑up responsibilities.
- Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure store condition and appearance.
- Maintain respectful relationships with coworkers and complete special assignments as required.
- Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or state‑required certification/registration.
- Attend training and complete PPLs as requested by Manager or corporate, acquiring continuing education credits.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Six months of experience in a retail environment.
- Prior work experience with Walgreens.
- Good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
- Good computer skills.
- Knowledge of store inventory control.
- PTCB certification.
