Physical Therapist - Resident

TRIA Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency is a one-year advanced, evidence-based program that develops orthopedic physical therapists dedicated to enhancing patient outcomes and community well-being. The curriculum includes 150 direct 1:1 mentoring hours, 150 hours of protected resident educational material, and full tuition coverage by Park Nicollet/TRIA. There is no weekend or holiday work requirement.

The Physical Therapist Resident will practice in compliance with professional standards, provide direct patient care, and engage in continuous professional growth. Residents will receive ~4 hours/week of protected time to work 1:1 with their approved mentor and will mentor other subspecialties during the residency.

4 – 10 hour shifts

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
• Licensure/Registration/Certification:
  • Licensed with the Minnesota Board of Physical Therapy.
  • Membership in the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and participation in the Minnesota Chapter of APTA or section.
  • Take the National Physical Therapy Examination no later than April 2026.
  • License to practice physical therapy in Minnesota by July 1, 2026.

• Exhibit leadership qualities and serve as a professional role model within the clinic demonstrating excellent communication skills, strong drive for results, motivation of others, and a high degree of integrity and trust.
• Proficient with communication and data processing equipment.
• Proficient in clinical apparatus related to area of expertise.
• Proficient in organization electronic medical record software.
