The Scheduling and Staffing Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that healthcare services are delivered efficiently and effectively by managing staff schedules and staffing levels. This position is responsible for analyzing staffing needs and creating optimal schedules that align with patient care requirements and organizational goals. This position will collaborate with various departments to anticipate staffing shortages and implement solutions to maintain adequate coverage.

We schedule our Physician and Advanced Practice Clinician staff quarterly through our scheduling software, QGenda. The pay for this position is $25 - $30 per hour.

Schedule
This position will be located at our EPPA Offices in Bloomington, Minnesota and will work a day schedule. The opportunity to work a hybrid arrangement with 2-3 days in office and the other days remote is potentially available after onboarding and orientation to the role.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proven experience in scheduling or staffing within a healthcare environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with scheduling software like QGenda and workforce management tools like Salesforce
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage across all shifts
  • Monitor staffing levels and make adjustments as necessary to meet patient care demands
  • Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and address any shortages
  • Utilize scheduling software to track employee availability, time-off requests, and shift swaps
  • Analyze data to identify trends in staffing and make recommendations for improvements
